Image to PDF
Turn photos or screenshots into a proper document. Add your images, order them, and get one PDF with a page per image, on A4, US Letter or pages sized to each image. This is what you want when someone asks for a scan and all you have is phone photos of the pages.
How to convert images to PDF
- Add your images. Drop in JPG or PNG files; WebP and other formats your browser can open work too. Each image becomes one page.
- Set the order and page size. Use the arrows to put the images in sequence, then choose A4, Letter or Fit to image, the orientation and the margin.
- Build and download. Click Build PDF. Pages are assembled locally and the document downloads.
Things worth knowing
- On A4 or Letter each image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred, without distortion. Fit to image makes every page the size of its image instead.
- JPG and PNG files are embedded as they are, at full resolution, so a folder of 12-megapixel photos makes a large PDF. Other formats are converted to JPG first.
- The result is a picture of text, not text. To make it searchable you would need OCR, which this tool does not perform.
Questions people ask
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript, so the file never leaves your device and there is no server to upload to. Once the page has finished loading you can disconnect from the internet and it still works.
Which image formats can I convert?
JPG and PNG go in as they are. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF also work in browsers that can open them; they are converted to JPG on the way in, with any transparent areas on white. HEIC photos need converting first with HEIC to JPG.
Can I put several images on one page?
No. This produces one page per image. Combining several photos onto a single page needs a layout tool rather than a converter.
Why is my PDF so large?
Because the photos are embedded at full resolution. Converting them to JPG at a lower quality first, using the image converter, typically cuts the PDF size dramatically with little visible difference.
