Rotate PDF
Fix pages that were scanned sideways or upside down. Rotate in 90-degree steps and download a PDF where the new orientation is saved into the file itself — not just applied in your viewer, which is what happens when you rotate in most PDF readers and wonder why it reverts.
How to rotate pdf
- Load the PDF. Drop in the document with the misoriented pages.
- Pick pages and angle. Choose which pages to turn and whether to rotate 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise.
- Apply and download. Click Rotate. The rotation is written into the PDF and the corrected file downloads.
Things worth knowing
- Rotation is stored in the page itself, so it persists across viewers, printing and re-sharing.
- Angles are clockwise. To turn a page anticlockwise by 90 degrees, use 270.
- Rotating does not re-render the page, so there is no quality loss and file size is essentially unchanged.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript, so the file never leaves your device — there is no server to upload to. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
Why does rotating in my PDF reader not stick?
Most readers rotate only the on-screen view and discard it when you close the file. This tool writes the rotation into the page's own properties, so it travels with the document.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Select the specific pages to turn and the rest are left exactly as they are.
Can I rotate a scanned document?
Yes. Scanned PDFs are images inside a PDF wrapper and rotate the same way. Note that rotating does not make scanned text searchable — that needs OCR, which this tool does not do.
