How to merge pdf
- Add your PDFs. Drop in every PDF you want to combine, or click to browse. You can add more at any point before merging.
- Put them in order. The files merge top to bottom in the order listed. Drag to rearrange until the sequence is right.
- Merge and download. Click Merge. The combined PDF is assembled in memory and downloads straight to your device.
Things worth knowing
- Page size is preserved per page, so merging A4 and US Letter documents gives you a PDF with both — pages are not rescaled to match.
- Bookmarks and form fields from the source documents are not carried into the merged file.
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before they can be merged.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript, so the file never leaves your device — there is no server to upload to. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There is no fixed limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory — merging a few hundred megabytes is comfortable on a modern laptop, and very large batches simply take longer.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied across intact rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. The merged file is roughly the sum of its parts in size.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. The tool runs in mobile browsers, though very large files may be slow on older devices since the work happens on the phone itself.
